Relational and Social Constructionist Consortium of Ecuador (IRYSE)
Diego Tapia Figueroa, Ph.D. and Maritza Crespo Balderrama, M.A.

And yes, we are leaving to return, probably in other ways.
When we began publishing this blog on January 26, 2018, and decided to do it every 15 days -maintaining, against all odds, that biweekly frequency- we trusted in opening spaces for reflective dialogues in our relational-professional contexts.
We also trust that some of what we have published may have been a positive, useful contribution that served our imaginary readers. It may have been like that on some occasions, perhaps.
We have committed ourselves to the dissemination, in the context of Ecuadorian society, of philosophy, epistemology, and the social constructionist/relational/collaborative/generative/dialogical perspective, as well as the significant contributions of many of its most representative authors. In Ecuador, these ideas and practices are widely unknown, ignored, or nonexistent.
It has been a relentless search for questions, an invitation to reflective pragmatics—a risk, from the edges, to propose words to make, for example, “that transformative dialogue called therapy” continuing with curiosity, respect, and creativity.
Relational dialogue -conversations are endless- the dialogical/relational process builds new futures; and, from the future, the process is transformed.
When you have time and curiosity, and if you wish, you are invited to visit this blog in its various sections: Articles (the main one), Gallery (original photos), Art and Literature, Concepts, Ideas and Phrases, and Highlights (articles translated into English).
Well, on January 26, 2025, we will close this cycle and say goodbye.
The best for you and yours.
Hugs,
Diego and Maritza

Dear, dear Diego and Maritza…..I am so very sorry to see this wonderful publication come to an end. I have so admired your work – an exquisite blend of the intellect, the senses, the aesthetic, and the practical. I have never seen anything quite like it. And the very fact of its existence – totally voluntary, no charge, just THERE IN THE WORLD…like a beacon of hope for humanity. I so hate to see it pass…(though I also understand some of the stresses, after Mary and I published the Positive Aging Newsletter for so many years.) I wonder if you could possibly give some thought to doing it quarterly? Could there be any way Taos could support you in this? Just some questions, some hopes, to alleviate my sadness. In any case, you have my utmost admiration….you are amazing….Ken

Dear Ken,
Your words make us proud and deeply move us.
It has been seven years of commitment, joy, effort, and hard work to consistently -every two weeks without fail and under any circumstances- our contribution to relational social constructionism. At least, that is what we hoped to achieve—a more committed, consistent, and human way of relating, seeing, and living the world with others.
It makes us happy and fills our hearts to know it has reached those it needed to reach, at the right time.
Now, we wish to continue our relational commitment, but from new places, in different spaces, and through new approaches.
We trust that we can continue contributing from Quito to the construction of possible futures that are more human, closer, and more positive, fostering shared well-being.
Thank you for opening the possibility of Taos’ support for our work. We have something different in mind and we will write to you about it in the coming days, trusting we can count on your support and that of the Taos Institute.
Hugs,
Diego and Maritza
